Toward Zero Deaths
Hennepin County Toward Zero Death (TZD) Action Plan
We are working to build a comprehensive strategy to eliminate serious injuries and deaths on Hennepin County roads. Now through fall 2024, we will develop an action plan to reduce fatal and serious injury crashes for anyone in the right of way of county-owned roads, whether they are walking, riding, rolling, using transit or driving on county-owned roadways.
Throughout this process, the project team will seek your input through online and in-person community engagement. We will use your input in combination with our safety data.
The plan will focus on roadway safety challenges and identify projects and policies to address these challenges proactively based on best practices.
Share your feedback
Tell us how you use county roads, where you see issues, and your thoughts on how to make them safer.
Note: While feedback on all roadways is appreciated, we are most interested in feedback on county-owned roads, because that's where we can make changes. Refer to the map key or the Hennepin County road system map(External link).
