Mtka Blvd
After going through the complete restructure on Texas Avenue, it's obvious that Mtka Blvd is in need of work. The road is structurally a mess - potholes and ruts need to be fixed. I agree with the comments about safety for all people being important. However, I find it tiresome to listen to the bicyclists who seem to make any road construction about themselves. They were quite vocal during the Texas project and because of them, designated bike lanes were added (by the city using the right of way - from people's property) to expand the road. I could count on two hands the number of people who use those bike lanes in the summer. What a waste of money and how unfortunate that people had to give up yard space not necessarily for their community but for complete strangers. Also, by widening Texas Avenue, it increased traffic speeds. It doesn't matter that they have speed 'lights', people don't slow down. Wide roads encourage speeding.

Remember the streets are for both cars and bikes. It is true, not many bike on the lanes compared to the dedicated trails, but that is because it is still dangerous due to the bad driving habits of many automobiles. Put in a physical barrier (Painted curb or terrain strip) to prevent cars driving into the bike lanes, and I would cycle the blvd every day. This would also create visual traffic easing making it safer for every mode of transportation.

Biking on Texas will increase once the Minnetonka intersection becomes navigable. As a long-time resident, I know I started driving much slower on Texas after the redesign. I am pretty sure the road was wider before.
