Safer stroads

Bikes, pedestrians, school kids walking to school… do whatever it takes to make Minnetonka blvd safer for residents to cross and walk / bike along side.

Safe Bike Lanes

The current Minnetonka “bike lanes” are some of the worst in Minnesota. Incredibly unsafe, no protection from cars, water grates that you have to ride around due to potholes around them.Potholes in the bike lanes.Cars on the road drive so fast, scary for everyone.If you look at Strava heatmaps you can see why Minnetonka is so important for cyclists in the cities!

Safer Pedestrian and bike access, Turn Lanes, reduced shoulder

The number of vehicles the zip past around a turning vehicle on the shoulder is a HUGE safety concern. Have seen too many potential accidents caused by this. Bikers, pedestrians are at great risk. Provide updates that create a better flow of traffic while still allowing cars turning left safety. Reduce the shoulder, create a turning lane, and create dedicated, off street pedestrian walkways. I don't even like walking on the sidewalks on MTKA Blvd with my kid because of the vulnerability and erratic driving that occurs. Need separation of vehicular traffic and pedestrian traffic. Provide more controlled crossings.

Safer crosswalks across Minnetonka Blvd. so that drivers will STOP for pedestrians. ..esp the one on Zarthan.

Don't need bike lanes on Minnetonka Blvd from Aquila area to Dakota Ave . Years ago you made 28th a bike lane Road and eliminated all street parking both ways. It isn't even used that much .\
