Safer pedestrian crossings, safer bike separation, slower speeds, roundabouts at major intersections

Minnetonka Blvd has become more of a throughfare in the 35 years I have lived here. Through traffic should be encouraged to use Hwy 7 and Hwy 394 for east/west travel, leaving Minnetonka Blvd for local traffic distribution.

Discourage use of Mtka. Blvd by using roundabouts, mandating slower speeds (30 instead of 35), putting in bike lanes and pedestrian walkways separated from the roadway and using solar powered pedestrian crossing beacons to alert drivers that they need to stop for pedestrians.

Local residents and visitors will accept these changes and improvements because they will make the entire community safer and more livable.

100% agree! These suggestions might just solve all the problems of the BLVD.
