Pedestrian Protection

Pedestrian crossings that are high visibility and more clearly instruct vehicles to stop.

Do not allow vehicles to pass in the bike lane when traffic is stopped. Do not allow vehicles to pass on the left of busses at bus stops. Both are dangerous for foot and bike traffic.

Rhode Island Ave S crossing is a connection to the trail to the north and Oak Hill Park to the south and should be a priority for an improved crossing. Having this coordinated with speed humps on Rhode Island from Minnetonka to Walker would be a dream and deter frequent speeding on this section of road that has many walkers and kids.
