Bike lanes designed for safe travel for all

Our roads have historically been designed to move cars as fast as possible with little regard to safety of pedestrians and cyclist. Human life is more valuable than seconds saved on a commute by car. Please consider designs with safety of cyclist and pedestrians first. The largest barrier for people to walk and ride instead of drive is feeling safe.

I agree with this statement. SLP has morphed into a total car-centric, traffic moving suburb with little room for pedestrians or bikes to move through this city! I have lost any hope of changing it--especially after the tree removal on Cty. Rd. 25--it's a county road but vehicles treat it like a highway with speeds of 60-65 mph--because it looks like a highway! Bad design!
