Themes from engagement (November to December 2025)
From November to December 2025, we shared the proposed concept for Gleason Lake Road with the community. Through in-person and online engagement, the project team collected feedback on the concept, as well as potential additional enhancements, such as enhanced crossings and a new southside sidewalk.
As the project progresses, we will continue refining the road design to reflect community input alongside technical analysis and design requirements.

Key themes:
- Community members expressed general support for the project and proposed design. There is strong support for improvements to the northside trail and enhanced space for greenery.
- Community members have questions about traffic calming and what can be done to make travel along Gleason Lake safer and more comfortable for all modes of travel.
- Community members strongly support safer, improved crossings to better access the northside trail.
- The community feels the northside trail generally meets their walking and biking needs. A southside trail would be a nice addition, but is not essential if it requires significant right-of-way acquisition, loss of green space, or major utility relocations.
- There is interest in seeing additional lighting along the road and improvements in visibility along the road (while balancing tree preservation).
