First open house

In April 2025, the project team hosted a public open house to hear from people who live, work, and travel in the area. Attendees shared key concerns about high speeds, poor visibility, and aggressive driving—particularly near Pineview Lane, South Diamond Lake Road, and Cartway Road.

Many attendees noted they avoid walking, biking, or making left turns due to safety risks. They also shared concerns about congestion near Highway 169, the traffic impact of nearby housing developments, and uncertainty about a potential future river crossing.

Your feedback is helping guide the development of design alternatives. To continue the conversation, we invite you to a second public open house on July 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Mississippi Crossings Event Center in Champlin.
