Project update

People standing in a room talking and looking at display boards.Last spring, we shared an updated design for the intersection of county Roads 19 and 117. Community feedback, along with technical analysis, helped refine the design. We received more than 200 survey responses, talked with 80 people at two open houses, connected with more than 100 people at community events such as the Hanover Harvest Festival and Corcoran’s Night to Unite, posted signs near the intersection, and shared project information through local newsletters and emails.

Here is what we heard:

  • Community members expressed general support for a roundabout and the updated design.
  • There was broad agreement that safety improvements are needed at this intersection.
  • People want the intersection to be safe for those walking and biking.
  • Community members want a design that keeps traffic moving while accommodating larger vehicles.
  • Community members asked questions about potential impacts to adjacent properties.

Based on the feedback we received and our continued technical review of the project, we only plan on making minor changes to the design we shared this spring. We will continue coordinating with affected property owners as we finalize the design and move toward construction in 2027.

This fall, we will share construction details, including the proposed detour routes.
